Tax and Avoid

We seem to have not learned from history.

Before income tax, we taxed powder on wigs.

People stopped wearing them, avoiding tax.

We taxed windows, many were bricked up, avoiding tax.

People worth over £10m have means to avoid further taxes on their wealth.

Not evade, avoid.

Any estimations, after a higher rate is introduced, only can presume that the money/wealth stays where it is now. It won't. There will always be access for people in this bracket to move or recalibrate taxable wealth elsewhere. Even higher taxes on income mean that if I earnt £2m a year, I could easily find ways to adjust my net income and pay the same or even less.

And if I'm wrong? Then someone will inevitably put me right.

At Starmer's Door

Jonathan Hall is the terrorist watchdog and a KC, and he has effectively said in a bombshell speech that the reason for the summer riots was due to people not bring told of the background of the Southport killings or that of the accused.

Basically he blames Starmer and his CPS chums for creating a climate of secrecy.  He also nails the lie put out by the Prime Minister that people should not speculate online as it could prejudice the case. Instead, Hall urged the judicial arms of government, the police and public prosecutors, to brief the media. Had Starmer done do, he implied, the riots would not have happened.

What he said is a must read and it’s clear Starmer has made a very big mistake which will hang round his neck for years. Hall, the independent reviewer of terrorist legislation, said, “When matters of high importance happen in the public mind, as far as possible, the police, government and media should level with them.  Those institutions will not continue to have the trust that they have had if there is a general sense that things are being hidden, which is what the conspiracy theorists depend on”.

Hall said there was “huge, huge interest” in the killings of those three little girls and people quite reasonably wanted to know as much as possible about the massacre. So all politicians, with the exception of Farage, tried to stop the public from knowing what happened.

It wasn’t prurience, there was a right to know. Was the killer an Islamist? Could your child be next? All reasonable questions, denied by Starmer who said 'don’t ask or you too may get a knock on the door.'

Farage should get stuck right into the PM on this issue.

Those riots are at Kier Starmer’s door.

A Great Country Ruined

Britain is a great country full of great people that has been ruined by various governments who don’t serve in our best interests.

It’s literally as simple as that.

Would You Fly The Flag?

The UK must stand alone on the planet as being the only country where displaying the Union flag or waving it, is something we are made to feel ashamed of (that's how it seems to me anyway).

Those who do wave or fly it are automatically designated populist, nationalist, supremacist, far right thugs and xenophobic. We've all seen video of police arrest people in London and elsewhere for simply being in possession of a union flag.

Yet it's fine to fly the Irish, Welsh, Scottish or Palestinian flag. That's perfectly acceptable. I'm not going to ask why as I know I'll get some smart-arse giving me a whole history lesson about Colonialism, how 100's of years ago we colonised half the world...Blah, blah, blah. How bad GB was.

I don't think there's a country in the world (wild generalisation I know) that didn't have some kind of dark past, in the dim and distant. Personally, I am very proud of my country (leaving politics aside). I've said before, if I could afford it, I'd have a flag pole erected in my front garden, and proudly fly our national flag (there's plenty of space).

I'd also fly any one of our other national flags on special days. I'm not staunchly 'English' to the exclusion of Irish, Welsh, Scottish.

I'm British...That's it.

Change the Conservatives

We now have the most left wing Conservative government ever .

It needs to change - people won’t vote for it in its present state .

Let’s work to make it a proper British Conservative Party again.

Corruption within the political class

In my 60 odd years, I have never known such corruption hidden under the phrase "within the rules".

I wonder if Members of Parliament, who use the title Honourable or Right Honourable, understand the contempt with which the vast majority of the populace now hold them? These are not titles used by ordinary people to describe MPs.

Probably the hardest part for me to understand is this; they say they are there to serve, yet never listen - so how can they serve?

Most MPs are a disgrace, and if I had the money, and an honest Barrister to assist, I would take them to court.

The worst Commons ever.

Political Unrest in the UK

The current crop of MPS for both Conservative and Labour parties now need to be completely de-selected and all the elitist dead wood got rid of.

The likes of Gove and Hunt should be prosecuted for treason and Truss for false representation.

As for Sunak who created this whole current mess, he needs to be held to account.

NO MPs should ever be allowed or able to put their own interests before those of the Country they are representing.

Labour are institutionally racist and anti-Semitic which is completely unacceptable and needs to be eradicated.

Nobody in the current two parties are fit to lead this country.

I greatly fear that communism is fast approaching and will completely wipe out democracy as we know it

A Village Against Becoming a Town

Our village, Lytchett Matravers, has beautiful green belt around it which is now subject to a planning application. The village has held a meeting with over 200 members attending but no sign of local MP, Michael Tomlinson. I have sent him many, many emails but he does not care about our village. He does not come to meetings like the one I refer to and sends generic letters from Westminster to all the residents who have messaged him. Tonight we have decided to not vote for someone who does not care about his constituents.

Passport to Mission Creep

Vaccine Passports are unethical...they restrict the rightful liberties of citizens and these encroachments will increase and infringe further once the initial step is taken. The Government has not given adequate justification for this step - the vaccinated who are the majority can transmit Covid as well as the unvaccinated. I object to the lack of accountability in this procedure and wish for the excessive powers obtained under the Coronavirus Act to be repealed.

MPs and Big Money Interests

Having recently moved to Melton Mowbray I wrote to my new MP, Alicia Kearns, Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton, about the lockdowns.

She replied politely and in depth but she didn't (like most people ) grasp that the issue at stake was not a deadly virus but the loss of our liberty.

To quote "You may not thank me for my vote, but I will not and cannot vote in a way that puts residents’ lives at risk, even if the restrictions go against my instincts and values as a Conservative. Everyone has the ability to stop this virus from killing more people, my vote was my taking action to save lives. Inaction would have unacceptable consequences, potentially for our loved ones.".

I also wrote to Jesse Norman who is the Conservative MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire, as I am a Herefordian, and I'd read about a local GP who was standing up to the 'vaccine' bullies.

I wrote..."As a Herefordian, I was very proud to read about a GP called Dr Clare Jones who is standing her ground on not having a vaccine for Covid 19, as is her right. Please support her and do not allow her to be bullied. If she is, we ALL will be. As a GP she has a certain standing in the community but really, we all are able to decide what to do with our own bodies".

He replied (which was good of him) saying, "Thank you very much for your email. I fully understand and respect the point that different people have different views about whether they wish to have the vaccine or not. The Government has not made vaccination mandatory, and as far as I am aware it has not said that doctors will be barred from working if they have not had a Covid vaccine.

I understand that Professor Whitty and others have indicated that there may be a professional expectation for healthcare workers to have the vaccine, and that this position has been endorsed by the BMA. But it has not been adopted by the Government or set down in legislation. Ministers have said that they have no plans to introduce so-called ‘immunity passports’.

But the Government is considering options to enable people to move around freely, particularly in relation to travel abroad, given that some countries have already indicated that they will require proof of a vaccine before allowing entry. This issue will be the subject of a review, as outlined in the recently published Covid roadmap.

As ever, Jesse".

He wrote that in March 2021.

As ever, the MPs I deal with are polite but toe the party line while making sure they do not upset too many constituents. I had a similar experience when in Royston, Herts and dealt with the local MP there about the rise in the State Pension Age which hit women born in the 1950/60s first, hardest and most unfairly.

Nothing could be done for the same reason we are facing a "pandemic" now. Big money interests control our lives.

Prison Time

I have written to my MP Chris Heaton-Harris countless times, as I saw this vaccination coercion program begin to pick up speed and then I realised that he simply does not care, no amount of evidence sways his opinion. I don't think he ever did care. He's in a strong conservative position and says that's what he maintains, ironic as the "new normal" policies are entirely opposite of conservative. Prison is too good for at least 75% of our MP's and I begin to wonder if the ones that do stand up for us are allowed to be controlled opposition, they're hardly vocal are they?

Our freedoms are too precious to trust to MPs

There needs to be a referendum on any further infringements of our liberties, in particular mandated vaccinations for kids and COVID passports. I watch with horror the liberties that have been stolen from the people of France and Ireland, decimating their tourist industries in the process. We CANNOT allow this to happen in the UK. Brexit was debated endlessly and put to the people to decide; vaccine mandates and COVID passports (national digital ID) requires the same approval from the people directly.

Yes Men

I wrote to my MP, Nadhim Zahawi, for the best part of last year until I got thoroughly sick of his banal ill-thought out parrot replies. Every time he saw my name in his inbox his heart sank I’m sure.

I explicitly enquired way back last summer whether he would be in support of vaccine passports, to which he replied, “I’ll ask the government. I will follow whatever the government line is whether I agree privately or not”.

These people do not deserve to be in these positions.

They are ‘Yes Men’ and betray us daily

Corrupt Government

It is a disgrace that we are having our liberty and freedom stolen from us by a corrupt government that is too close to 'Big Pharma'.

We have still not seen reports regarding how many people have died from Covid-19 vaccinations.

Matt Hancock must be sacked he is totally corrupt.

Vaccination passports are against the Nuremberg code. I hope all involved are taken to court and put in prison for crimes against humanity

Stolen Liberty

We want to have accountability. We have had our liberty stolen from us and businesses have been destroyed, our children’s lives ruined.

There are numerous cases of injustice caused by MPs and the PM who have chosen to ignore the people of this country.

People are dying from diseases including cancer because MPs turned their backs on the people who elected them

Handing Over Control

Enquiry Required

I find it disgusting that we are subjected to rules which are entirely illegal as common law prevails.

Many more people have died from the cure rather the virus.

I demand an enquiry into how the government is getting away with killing its own people

Lost Faith

I have completely lost faith in this government. It has become clear that it is corrupt, whether it is giving mates multi million pound contracts to the letting in of illegal migrants.

This is not the government's money they are spending and giving away, but that of hard working British people.

We all know the figures on COVID-19 have been vastly inflated; why? MPs work for us and we are sick to the back teeth of obvious lies.

All we ask for is accountability and honesty and we are not getting either.

Even the opposition doesn't oppose anything - are all MPs in on what amounts to a crime against our great country?

Vaccination/ health passports

I strongly disagree with the principle of vaccination or health passports. They are discriminatory to those who may not be able to have or want the vaccine.

It is a form of coercion if they are then used as a means to access certain parts of society. It creates a two tiered system where vaccine discrimination would be an allowable social discrimination unlike other forms.

I am concerned about what a vaccine/health passport would develop into?

Would this then grow to a points system where all aspects of one's life allows or disallows entry to certain services and places in society?

Jackie Doyle Price MP

This MP was in favour of Remain, nothing has been done about HGVs and pollution in the area. She didn't vote No against the extension of the draconian rules but chose to abstain. When will she start to represent her constituents? She had a very small majority last time.
